The Wines of Westport
Many wine lovers are discovering that cool climates create the most dramatic sparkling, white and rosé wines in the world.
The classic cool climate style of a natural, crisp, refreshing balance between fruit and acidity is the hallmark of all of Westport Rivers' wines.
We don't get in the way and overtly stylize our wines with gobs of oak or sweetness. We aim to allow the terroir of the vintage shine through; we want the wine to taste like the grapes from which it was created. Most Westport Rivers wines are fermented in stainless steel, which keeps the focus on the grapes and the vintage.
Our wines are celebrated for refreshing the palate and pair well with many foods. Cheers!

70% Estate Grown Pinot Noir & 30% Estate Grown Chardonnay
This is the wine that put Westport Rivers on the international wine map. The 2003 has frothy mousse with aromas of apple blossom, ripe pear, mild toasty yeast and luscious cream. A deliciously soft, creamy finish begs for just one more sip. A wine to entice you from start to finish.

 2000 Blanc de Blancs
100% Estate Grown Chardonnay
Crisp apples and dry toasty yeast are the core of this special wine. Aged for over 6 years before finishing, it has wonderful balance of fruit, yeast and acidity. Perfect with oysters.

A blend of Estate Grown Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier
The two black grapes of chapagne come together in this juicy, mouthfull of delicious wine. Rich and supple fruit linger with a long tart finish.

82% Estate Grown Pinot Noir with 18% Estate Grown Chardonnay
An incredible "RD" style with 14 years "en tirage". Huge, smooth, complex; this wine deserves to be called Max. Comes in it's own custom box.

100% Estate Grown Chardonnay
We fermented over 70% of this wine in well-aged French oak so that the oak is a nuance. A classic east coast style chardonnay with very pretty, rich golden color. Our chardonnay is the perfect accompaniment for New Bedford scallops, Westport lobsters and other seafood or poultry dishes.

 2008 Rosé of Pinot Noir
Attractive bright rose color, complex bouquet with berries, rose petal and a touch of cotton candy. Round and soft yet brisk and firm with wonderfully balanced acidity and richness. The wine finishes with a lingering fruitiness. Pairs well with many dishes from vegetarian to beef and spicy, smoky flavors or exotic spices in Indian and Thai food.

Delicious, pinot noir fruit with toasty barrel notes. Like no aperitif/dessert wine you've likely ever had. We are able to capture the pure essence of the vintage by blending some of our specially distilled estate grown eau de vie with pinot noir juice. We age it in french oak for a year and the result is sure to blow you away.
